Simple Stories and Amazing Recipes

If you’re like me, your favorite recipes are scattered throughout various cookbooks and recipe boxes.  So when I want to make a special dish, make something for a potluck, or just make chocolate syrup (my Mother-in-law’s recipe), I search through my recipes and cookbooks for a favorite recipe.  That is why I have created this cookbook.  I have gone through my recipes and cookbooks, pulled out my favorite recipes and placed them all together into one cookbook.
When I collected these recipes to share with you, family and friends, I thought about a cookbook I especially love, one I received from my husband’s grandma, Grandma Lewis, for Christmas many years ago.  This cookbook had ordinary recipes with ordinary ingredients and had been put together by the ladies of her church.  I could now make simple casseroles, salads, and desserts.
I had one other cookbook that I had received for a wedding present, but that cookbook did not have ordinary everyday recipes I could use to prepare for my young family.  Some of the ingredients in that cookbook, I had never even heard of nor could be found in our small town grocery store.
This is not your ordinary cookbook.  Not only does it have great recipes, but it also has some of my favorite old songs and some great Bible scriptures placed throughout the cookbook.  I hope this cookbook will be an inspiration to everyone that reads or uses it.
    Be Blessed!

This is one of my favorite dips. It's great for family gatherings and parties. I think it tastes best after it has set in the refrigerator 24 hours. Enjoy!

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.  Helen Keller

One of life's greatest blessings is to be surrounded by sisters that make you laugh.  They somehow know the combination of shopping, a cup of gourmet coffee, and chocolate is the answer to many problems.  A sister
is a gift to be treasured, for she is more precious than diamonds.  It's wonderful when you have sisters to share your hopes, dreams, hurts and pains.  This is an inspirational book for sisters of all ages.
